China Cruise Market: Chinese Companies bought P&O Cruises ORIANA - leaving Fleet August 2019 – Signed Management Conctract with V.Ships Leisure

China Travel Service (CTS) and state owned China Ocean Shipping Group Company (Cosco),have formed a new Joint Venture, which will start Cruise Operations September 2019.

The name of the new indigenous Cruise Line is Twinkle Travel Cruise, will offer cruises between Chinese homeports and other Asian ports of call including Japan, Vietnam, the Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, Brunei and Indonesia. 

The ship’s hotel and technical management will be supplied by world renowned V Ships Leisure, Monaco, part of V. Group. 

P&O Cruises will continue to operate the ORIANA under a Bareboat charter, until middle of August 2019. 

The Oriana was build by Meyer Werft in 1995 and is the longest serving ship in the P&O Fleet. 69,153 GT – 1,928 Passengers and 794 Crew.
